I'm an editorial and commercial photographer in Seattle and the digital editor of the University of Washington's alumni magazine.

My portraits look at subjects who represent an expanding and contested sense of American identity, as well as people who hold traditional positions of power and authority. My approach is guided by a foundational yet undelivered promise of America: that everyone deserves a seat at the table. I believe that who we choose to include in visual narratives, and the ways in which we depict them, can help us realize that promise.

I have been recognized by the Communication Arts Photography Annual, PhotoPlace Gallery, the C.B. Blethen Awards for Distinguished Newspaper Reporting, the Society of Professional Journalists and the national Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
